As a heavy commuter myself, it is a welcome feature to combine elegance with functionality. Gonso too jumped on the bandwagon of functional commuter clothing combined with chic appearance. Obviously the latter attribute is a subjective thing, fact is however that Gonso’s attempt to keep the appearance restrained while providing a needed functionality is a successful one.
Gonso’s Bozen Bike Jeans is sporty enough even for longer commuting, such as those I have to do on daily basis. Even by covering routes that easily reaches 20 km mark, the jeans is equipped with enough clever details that facilitates the daily activity in the condensed traffic. Things like on/off function that folds out reflectors on the back pocket and waistband are another added values. Thus, it provides enhanced visibility. The reflectivity came in handy after those long office hours and riding home in darkness.
Provided the ride to the office is rather a gentle one, meaning no need to undress, the Bozen Bike Jeans can serve as a casual office apparel too.
The most outstanding feature for me, however is its comfy and remarkably stretchy material. It’s combined with a snug fit, which never feels itchy. The material mix of 77% cotton, 15% polyester, 8% elastane creates a measured blend of cozy feeling. Once fully soaked while riding in rainy weather, the jeans becomes heavy and its stretchiness loses its welcome attributes considerably.
As for the durability. Unless you [theoretically] wear it daily [total nonsense] and it is treated [washed] according to Gonso’s guidelines, the wear is only visible by way of slightly fading color on most stressed places. The stretch-ability seems to be the same though.
Good thing is additionally its adjustable leg width that keeps the road dirt and chain oil reasonable at bay.
